Laura McCracken is a designer, stylist, weaver and teacher. Laura is reaching those who love the world of sewing and design with her SEW NEW YORK classes. She is a former school teacher who was educated at the Fashion Institute of Technology and Parsons School of Design. Her skills, patience and craftsmanship for this study spans over 30 years.

At SEW NEW YORK we focus on the construction of clothing. Our beginner classes are for the new beginner as well as the student who has been sewing and wants to learn more. If you already know how to use the sewing machine and other sewing basics, you will just move on and progress to newer skills as you continue to learn the art of sewing. Classes are for adutls ages 18 and up.
Classes are semi-private with 2-3 students. With the private setting you get plenty of one-on-one attention as you learn at your own pace. Classes are 1hr 55 minutes, and meet once a week at your scheduled class time.
